What is the difference between dima Print Stone beige and dima Print Stone beige Smart?
dima Print Stone beige Smart and dima Print Stone beige are different monomer mixtures and are chemical not identical. Printing parameters can not be interchanged. dima Print Stone beige was developed for highest precision while dima Print Stone beige Smart was developed for cost efficiency. dima Print Stone beige Smart has a slightly more transparent beige color. Both materials are TPO free.
Why do I need another model material?
While dima Print Stone beige can be used for any type of dental model as it provides the highest precision, outstanding mechanical properties, as well as a very natural gypsum color for perfect contrast, not all indications actually require these features. For a simple aligner model the use of a more economical material like dima Print Stone beige Smart is the smarter choice.
Why can’t I print die models with dima Print Stone beige Smart?
Stone beige Smart was developed for an excellent price/performance ratio, not highest precision. It is recommended to be printed in 100µm or 150µm layer thicknesses only. So, even though it is technically possible to use it for die models, we don't recommend Stone beige Smart for these high accuracy objects. Therefore Stone beige remains your model material of choice for high accuracy indications like die models.
Why does dima Print Stone beige Smart not come in the usual white cardboard box? Where is the IfU?
In order to make the product as cost efficient as possible and to reduce waste, the white cardboard box was removed. The IFU can be found in our eIFU portal, just scan the QR code on the label.
